Video 1: This video shows the extra-thoracic subclavian vein puncture being performed. A Seldinger needle is advanced, initially striking the 1st rib in the target area as shown in figure 4; then with aspiration of venous blood confirming that the needle is in the lumen of the vein, a guidewire is advanced into the subclavian vein and SVC.

Video 2: A standard left sided upper limb venogram showing filling initially of the cephalic vein and axillary vein, and then subsequent drainage into the subclavian vein (see figure 4 for landmarks).
