Abstract

The majority of studies examining the role of vasodilators in the prevention or treatment of no-reflow following PCI have demonstrated improvements in surrogate endpoints such as TIMI flow rate, TIMI frame count and wall motion scores. However, their effect on important clinical endpoints such as mortality and heart failure remains uncertain.

Keywords: adenosine, no-reflow, vasodilators, verapamil
