Abstract
Introduction Tissue Doppler Imaging (TDI) is a recently introduced echocardiographic tool, to measure myocardial velocities. In this article the physical principles and different myocardial velocity imaging modalities are discussed. Examples of practical applications and clinical use of this non-invasive imaging technique are provided.
