STUDY ON CORRELATION OF P2Y12 GENE POLYMORPHISMS IN RS6798347 AND RS6787801 SITES WITH CORONARY HEART DISEASE

    Abstract

    Objectives To investigate correlation of P2Y12 gene polymorphisms (rs6798347 and rs6787801) with coronary heart disease.

    Methods 90 health control individuals and 364 patients with coronary artery disease who were diagnosed by coronary angiography or coronary artery CT angiography were enrolled in the study. The single nucleotide polymorphisms (rs6798347 and rs6787801) of P2Y12 gene were detected by MALDI-TOF mass spectrometry. Compare the genotypes and allele frequencies in the two groups.

    Results 1. Genotypes and frequencies of P2Y12 gene polymorphisms (rs6798347) in control group and coronary heart disease group were as below: AA genotype 6.7% vs 8.6%; AG genotype 41.4% vs 42.8%; GG genotype 52.5% vs 48.6%, There was no significant difference between control group and coronary heart disease group (p=0.75).

    2. Genotypes and frequencies of P2Y12 gene polymorphisms (rs6787801) in control group and coronary heart disease group were as below: AA genotype 31.1% vs 37.1%; GA genotype 51.1% vs 44.2%; GG genotype 17.8% vs 18.7%. There was no significant difference between control group and coronary heart disease group (p=0.47).

    Conclusions Single Nucleotide Polymorphisms of P2Y12 gene polymorphisms in rs6798347 and rs6798347 are not associated with coronary heart disease.
