A 41-year-old man presented with chest pain and recent flu-like illness. ECG demonstrated inferolateral ST elevation and troponin I level was raised. A diagnosis of myocardial infarction was made and intravenous thrombolysis was administered. Catheter angiography did not demonstrate significant coronary artery disease, so cardiac MRI was performed to clarify the diagnosis.
