  • 3-150 Adjusted for the following variables at baseline: age, body mass index, serum total cholesterol, HDL cholesterol, systolic blood pressure, number of cigarettes daily, daily alcohol use, history of diabetes, and history of myocardial infarction. Continuous variables are in tertiles, except daily alcohol use, which is categorised as non-users, up to 30 g/day, and over 30 g/day.
