Impact of common functional polymorphisms in renin angiotensin system genes on the risk of renal parenchymal scarring following childhood urinary tract infection
2015, Journal of Pediatric UrologyCitation Excerpt :Children having the DD allele were genotyped again using insertion-specific primer PCR yielding a 335-bp product to avoid any possibility that a heterozygote ID allele was mistyped as DD. Genotyping was performed by restriction fragment length polymorphism (RFLP) analysis for AGTR-1 A1166C [18] using the Bsu RI restriction enzyme (Fermentas). For AGT M235T polymorphisms, we used tetra-primer amplification of refractory mutation screening polymerase chain reaction (ARMS-PCR) [19].
Polymorphisms of angiotensin II type 1 receptor gene and those of angiotensinogen point at culprit artery in ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction
2012, GeneCitation Excerpt :Genomic DNA was isolated from peripheral blood leukocytes with the phenol method. The AGTR1 1166A/C genotype was examined using restriction fragment length polymorphism (RFLP) as described by Hingorani and Brown (1995). The alleles of AGT Met235Thr and AGT Thr174Met were genotyped with the mismatched standard polymerase chain reaction (PCR) and RFLP detection method as described by Caulfield et al. (1994).
