Abstract
A technique for the subtraction of the contralateral contribution in lateral-lung isotope imaging using a gamma camera and computer is described. The theory of the technique is presented and the validity of the assumptions involved is discussed. The sources of error are considered and the corresponding error magnitudes assessed. Some preliminary results are presented and the implications discussed.
