For example, sublingual or intracoronary nitroglycerin and sodium nitroprusside increase the coronary narrowing in patients with MB, whereas noradrenaline, phenylephrine, and ergonovine decrease it (4,31,33). As an alternative mechanism, vasospastic coronary constriction may be associated with MB (9,34–36). The systolic milking of the vessel may produce, especially at high heart rates, endothelial damage, which may stimulate platelet aggregation and coronary vasospasm.
