Recently, bidirectional cavopulmonary shunt (BCPS) has become a preferred staged procedure to Fontan completion for patients with functional SV including heterotaxy syndrome.2-5 However, some papers suggested that high PVR, PA distortion and severely unbalanced PA growth are risk factors for BCPS.6,7
