Cardiac findings in routine fetal autopsies: More than meets the eye?
2012, European Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology and Reproductive BiologyCitation Excerpt :We identified HHV-6 genome in paraffin-embedded heart tissue in one case with histological lesions of myocarditis [47]. The higher proportion of males in our population of fetuses with cardiac anomalies is in good agreement with other studies [18,48]. When we analyzed them by categories, however, gender predominance was not identified [49], probably due to the small size of the sample.
