    Moreover, when individual data are made available in these studies, it is obvious that the response of EOA and resistance to flow is variable, and likely depends on the degree of flexibility of the stenosis. In contrast, studies in mechanical prostheses14,15 or in fixed stenosis27 all conclude to the opposite, i.e., that resistance is more flow dependent than EOA.
