Although the differences were not statistically significant, median HVPG in patients with DD was lower than that in those without DD (14 [6–20] vs. 15 [6–30] mm Hg, P = 0.32), and patients with ascites had higher prevalence of DD (60%) than those without ascites (40%) (P = 0.33). Comparison of the 2D echo parameters between the patients with or without DD showed a significant difference in the left ventricular end diastolic diameters (48 vs. 45 mm, P = 0.01).
