Frequency of neurologic complications following carotid sinus massage

Abstract

Carotid sinus massage is a useful procedure in diagnosis and treatment. A standard technique with applied exclusion criteria causes infrequent neurologic complications (11 in 16,000), most of which are transient and result in full recovery.
