To the Editor: We read with great interest the recently published article by Meijs et al addressing hypertensive response to exercise (HRE) in adult patients with repaired coarctation of aorta (CoA).1 The study included a large cohort of patients from the Dutch Congenital Corvitia (CONCOR) registry. The main finding was that HRE is very common in adults with repaired CoA, occurring in 44% of patients. Male sex, absence of bicuspid aortic valve and higher resting systolic blood pressure (SBP) were predictive of HRE. Furthermore, HRE was associated with the development of hypertension at follow-up, whereas no association with cardiovascular events was demonstrated.1
