A sentence in the discussion has been edited for clarity, and now reads: ‘Through our randomised trial, showing that volume-based respiratory training improves performance, there is now evidence that reduced performance is associated with reduced lung function. Reduced exercise capacity explains, at least in part, reduced lung function outcomes in our cohort.’
