We read the letter from ‘John E Madias’ on our paper ‘Beta-blockers and renin-angiotensin system inhibitors for Takotsubo syndrome recurrence: a network meta-analysis,’1 which raised several interesting points. We could not but agree with quite all the remarks enlisted.
In response, some additional points should be taken into further consideration. First, there are no data from randomised trials in Takotsubo syndrome (TTS); second, there is paucity of data on drug dose regimens at follow-up, and, third, patients receiving beta-blockers (BB) and/or renin–angiotensin …
