I appreciate Dr. Stovitz's interest in our editorial and on the topic of the "Obesity Paradox". As I stated in my book, The Obesity Paradox,1 a paradox can be defined "as a statement that is seemingly contradictory or opposed to common sense and yet is perhaps true".
