With great interest we read the response of Dineen and Prutkin entitled Counterpoint: lack of evidence for echocardiography screening in athletes1 to our review article on the Role of echocardiography in screening and evaluation of athletes.2 Dineen and Prutkin raised several crucial points to this very important discussion.
