 Termination criteria

For dobutamine and exercise stress echo a β blocker may be used as antidote (for example, esmolol 0.5 mg/kg as slowly injected bolus, additional bolus of 0.2 mg/kg as needed). Aminophylline (240 mg intravenously) should be available for immediate use in case of an adverse dipyridamole related event.
Submaximal heart rate reached [(220−age)×0.85] for dobutamine stress
Blood pressure decrease >20 mm Hg below baseline systolic blood pressure or decrease >20 mm Hg from a previous level
Blood pressure increase >240/120 mm Hg
Intractable symptoms
Complex cardiac arrhythmias
New or worsening wall motion/thickening abnormalities in at least two adjacent LV segments
New or worsening wall motion/thickening abnormalities associated with ventricular dilation
Development of global reduction of systolic function.
