CSA, cross-sectional area; DM, type 2 diabetes mellitus; VHD-FCA, Virtual Histology intravascular ultrasound-derived fibrocalcific atheroma; VHD-TCFA, Virtual Histology intravascular ultrasound-derived thin-cap fibroatheroma. A χ2 test was used for categorical data. Unpaired Student t test or Mann-Whitney rank-sum test was used for continuous data. Values of p<0.05 were considered statistically significant.
