  • Plasma homocysteine level and left ventricular thrombus formation in acute anterior myocardial infarction patients following thrombolytic therapy with t-PA

Data concerning the influence of thrombolytic therapy on left ventricular thrombus formation remain controversial. Some investigators have reported a significant reduction in left ventricular thrombus formation after the administration of thrombolytic therapy [29], while others did not [30]. These conflicting results may be in part due to the type and timing of the adjunctive antithrombotic treatment, reperfusion success rates and the heterogeneity of the patient population.
