    2011, Pediatric Infectious Disease Journal
    Citation Excerpt :

This may reflect the higher renal clearance of AGs in children (excluding neonates),22 greater renal reserve, and fewer comorbidities as compared with adults. In addition, nephrotoxicity in our case was reversible, contrasting with the irreversible nature of ototoxicity observed, consistent with past reports.23,24 No abnormal gentamicin values were detected, despite occurrence of clinical toxicity in 3 cases.
