Nonetheless, 30-day mortality was around 10%, which concurs with previous reporting.4,17 A Charlson Comorbidity Score>0 was the only factor significantly associated with decreased risk of 30-day survival, which may imply that patients who quickly regain consciousness following OHCA yet die subsequently, may die from an exacerbation of underlying chronic disease.
