With great interest we read the response of Dineen and Prutkin entitled Counterpoint: lack of evidence for echocardiography screening in athletes 1 to our review article on the Role of echocardiography in screening and evaluation of athletes .2 Dineen and Prutkin raised several crucial points to this very important discussion.
